Fantasy Six Nations 2021 Preview – Wales

With Saturday 6th February 2021 fast approaching, it’s time to delve a bit deeper into this year’s potential fantasy Six Nations stars. So over the next two weeks FRG is providing a quick preview of all the teams from a fantasy perspective. Today we look at Wales…

Wales

In a nutshell

Having had a stellar 2019, taking home a Grand Slam, reaching the pinnacle of the World Rankings and reaching the semi-fials of the Rugby World Cup, 2020 was the year that Wales came crashing down to earth. Wales encountered their worst year of results in living memory, playing 10 and only winning 3 (Twice against Italy and once against Georgia).

Despite this, Wales are not to be underestimated. When it was clear that the Six Nations was not to be theirs, they took the opportunity in the rest of 2020 to rebuild and blood some impressive new talents in the form of Louis Rees-Zammit, Callum Sheedy, Shane
Lewis-Hughes, Kieran Hardy, Johnny Williams and James Botham. You can expect to see more of these in the 2021 Six Nations as well as Nick Tompkins, who enjoyed an explosive start to his international career in 2020.
