Welcome to our final instalment of our pre-match updates for the Guinness Six Nations. This is where we analyse the weekend’s lineups, crunch the stats and see what the bookies are thinking to help you optimise your lineups for peak performance this weekend! By the time you finish this article you should have all the insight you need to score big fantasy points this weekend…
What will go down…
It all comes down to this, one final weekend to secure Six Nations glory, both for Wales, Ireland and England and also for fantasy managers all over the world on what promises to be a hugely dramatic final day.
The pivotal game of the weekend will be in Cardiff where Wales take on Ireland in the hope of achieving the Grand Slam and to take one step closer to the world record for consecutive games won. Pre-tournament favourites are in Wales to crash the party in what promises to be a bruising encounter. The bookies have made Wales marginal favourites by 1 point, but this is truly too close to call and could go either way. A classic awaits.
Should Ireland win, then England will go into their home match against Scotland knowing exactly how much they will need to beat Scotland by to win the Six Nations Championship, so there is potential for a very big England performance. Either way, Scotland’s bad luck with injuries has continued and the bookies have made England huge favourites by 18 points.
Elsewhere, in what is effectively a dead rubber, Italy and France face off in Rome, and while the bookies have made France 10 point favourites, Italy will be looking at this game as providing the best potential of getting a W in this years tournament.
Hold on to your seats, this will be a Super Saturday…
