Into the midweek fixtures! We’re now moving into unfamiliar territory with the Premiership games coing thick and fast, with two games on Tuesday and four on Wednesday. In case you missed it, there will be no Fantasy Rugby Draft coverage for the midweek rounds (or for any matches played on a Monday…) so if you are here for FRD tips, you can stand down and get preparing for Round 17 (which has just 4 matches, so prepare carefully!). If you are playing in The Rugby Magazine, then read on!
This is a bonus midweek FRG weekly tips. For those new to FRG, the weekly pre-match tips are where we analyse the weekend’s lineups, crunch the stats and see what the bookies are thinking to help you optimise your lineups for peak performance this weekend! By the time you finish this article you should have all the insight you need to score big fantasy points this weekend.
Make sure you come back every weekend before finalising your lineups!
Potential mismatches
As we were at the weekend, there have been some clearly weakened sides named while players are given the required rest. With this in mind, you should take a very clear look at the matchday squads before choosing your teams. Taking into account sides that are putting out inexperienced sides against some full strength sides, the bookies have adjusted the handicaps accordingly and here are the expected results from the bookies this week…
- Wasps to beat Sale by 12 points
- Bristol to beat Exeter by 10 points
- Leicester to beat London Irish by 10 points
- Northampton to beat Bath by 8 points
- Worcester to beat Harlequins by 6 points
- Gloucester to beat Saracens by 4 points
Expected to go well on The Rugby Magazine

Premiership Rugby Injury News
Gaining reliable Injury news for the Premiership is extremely difficult, and while we don’t have a database of the latest injuries at Fantasy Rugby Geek, we would highly recommend The Rugby Magazine’s injuries page which remains the most exhaustive source of Premiership injury news that can be found. Details of this and many other useful Fantasy Rugby resources can be found at our Resources page.
