Fantasy Six Nations 2021 Preview – France

With Saturday 6th February 2021 fast approaching, it’s time to delve a bit deeper into this year’s potential fantasy Six Nations stars. So over the next two weeks FRG is providing a quick preview of all the teams from a fantasy perspective.

Today we look at France…

France

In a nutshell

Of all the Northern Hemisphere nations it is France who can look back on 2020 and observe the greatest progress. Coming off the back of a disappoining 2019, France opened 2020 with a convincing win over England and, despite a frustrating blip at Murrayfield against Scotland in the 6 Nations, were arguably the most feared team in the North. The new generation of talent that France have been blessed with have brought a consistency to the team that has been missing for years.

The last 24 months have seen the true arrival on the international stage of many new young talents, including Charles Ollivon, Gregory Alldritt, Damien Penaud, Thomas Ramos, Romain Ntamack, Mathieu Jalibert and Antoine Dupont. The future looks bright if they can keep this core unit of talents fot and firing.

Looking to the 2021 Six Nations, France have a tough draw with both England and Ireland away, but if they can come through either of these with a winning return then they will full contention come Super Saturday at the Stade de France against Wales.
