Today marks Fantasy Rugby Geek’s second birthday…
What started out as little side project to kill time on my commute, primarily to learn WordPress (but to also write about one of my favourite subjects), continues to grow into something far bigger and has resulted in building a great community of Fantasy Rugby enthusiasts. While Fantasy Football is well catered for with a plethora of blogs and tips sites, there was limited coverage of Fantasy Rugby. I hope that this site and that great work that growing world of Fantasy Rugby bloggers and podcasters are doing is helping to change this for Fantasy Rugby players.
The growth of FantasyRugbyGeek.com is purely down to you, the readers. Your support and feedback is like nothing else and continues to drive me on to produce new and further content.
One of the continual challenges that I have faced in managing the website is covering the costs of domains, hosting, etc. This remains a labour of love and so the last thing I want to do is ask for donations without offering something in return. So today, in an effort to hopefully get you to part with your hard earned cash to support the growth of fantasyrugbygeek.com, I am proud to introduce, updated for the Rugby World Cup, the second version of The Fantasy Rugby Handbook.
The Fantasy Rugby Handbook
To celebrate the 2-year milestone; today we launch The Fantasy Rugby Handbook. Last year we launched The Fantasy Rugby Geek Guide to Fantasy Rugby. This has been taken away, renamed, updated and then to it we have added a detailed overview of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
This book captures the knowledge and experience gained in over a decade of obsessive fantasy rugby playing, captured on paper and made available in book form. Whether you are new to the game of Fantasy Rugby or are a hardened veteran looking for the edge to take you from mid-table to leading the way, there will hopefully be something of value here for all of you.
This book is a guide, not a failsafe “system” for success. As in all sports there is an element of luck involved, however, this guide will show you where you can minimise the unknowns and focus on the key areas that can guarantee you the edge over your rivals. The book also brings together some of the best blog posts from the last year pulled together in one simple guide.
Included in the book is…
- For beginners, an introduction to the sport of rugby and an overview of the positions and what they mean in fantasy terms
- A detailed summary of all the top fantasy games for Premiership Rugby, Super Rugby, Six Nations and Champions Cup (and exhaustive insight on how to gain a huge advantage over your rivals in all of them) as well as an extensive preview into the 2019 Rugby World Cup
- Interviews with previous winners giving their secrets to success
- Stacks of essential links to invaluable fantasy rugby resources
- A complete A-Z of Fantasy Rugby Terminology.
The eBook is available to download now for £3.99 on Gumroad as a PDF and on Amazon in Kindle format (Free on Kindle Unlimited) – check it out! Proceeds from the sales of the eBook will go straight back into managing and maintaining FantasyRugbyGeek.com and to ensure that it keeps running for the foreseeable future.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I want to make future editions of as much value to you all as possible, so if you have any feedback, please get in touch via our contact page.
